Health Awareness Among Marginalized
Communities:
Project
Overview:
Marginalized
communities in Bangladesh often lack
adequate healthcare services and
awareness. Through this project, ROOT
is
working to provide healthcare
services and raise awareness among
indigenous populations living in remote
areas. The initiative focuses on basic
healthcare, nutrition, hygiene, and
preventive measures to improve overall
well-being.
Objectives:
▪ Increase health awareness among
Marginalized communities.
▪ Provide training on primary
healthcare.
▪ Promote awareness about nutrition
and hygiene.
▪ Establish connections between local
healthcare services and the community
Key Activities:
▪ Health Camps: Free health check-ups,
medication distribution, and
consultations. Workshops and Seminars:
Training on disease prevention, first aid,
and healthy living.
▪ Nutrition Awareness: Discussions on
the importance of a healthy diet and
necessary dietary changes.
▪ Hygiene Initiatives: Encouraging hand
washing habits, use of clean water, and
improved sanitation systems.
▪ Community Leadership Development:
Training community health workers and
involving local healthcare providers
Expected Impact:
Elimination of health-related
misconceptions and increased
awareness malnutrition and
communicable diseases. Long-term
improvement in healthcare-seeking
behavior. Expansion of primary
healthcare access.
